The IC Charismatic Prayer Group started in March 1993 and it is one of the prayer groups among different parishes in the Archdiocese of Vancouver. It is under the auspices of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services with its international office based in Rome. Like other communities, the IC Charismatic Prayer Group supports in building the faith of Christian communities in the Immaculate Conception parish and the Archdiocese as a whole.  

For over two decades the Charismatic Prayer Group helps in the different activities to maintain, renew and sustain the faith of individuals and to prepare them to a well-founded commitment to Christ and the church.  Improved awareness of an individual on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and sharing it to the community, recognizing the presence of God in her or his life, relying on the grace of the Lord and becoming prayerful, are few behavioral changes that flow from individuals that committed in attending the Life in the Spirit Seminar and prayer meetings.

Being with the IC Charismatic Prayer Group, you will come across not only prayer meetings but also life in the spirit seminars, spiritual retreats, charismatic conferences, healing services and anniversary celebration.  Such events are supported or backed up by renowned speakers of the Catholic church and celebrated with past and present Bishops and priests of the Archdiocese.

In a weekly prayer meeting, together with the members of the prayer group, you will be experiencing the peace and joy in praising and worship through profound scriptural music and songs, speaking in tongues, hearing words of healing and prophecy including praying over you and others in times of sickness and challenges.  Additionally, you will be encouraged to intercede for the good of others as well as become a witness of your relationship with the Holy Spirit, and give thanks to God for all the blessings you received. A fellowship follows after the prayer meeting to experience the generosity and sharing of resources of every member which extends for IC Prayer Group to sponsor a family in need outside of the country as well as help individuals in the community who are in dire need.
